The emigration

Suus and I embarked on a journey from Lisbon to northern Portugal, exploring various places in search of our future home. Initially, we focused on the north, while also researching suitable schools for the children. Eventually, our search led us to the town of Fafe, where we delved deeper into schools, homes, and community life.

In the summer, we brought the children along to experience it firsthand. They visited the school and joined a day trip with their future classmates. We explored land and immersed ourselves in the local culture. After these two trips, we made the life-changing decision to fully emigrate to Portugal in 2022.

On the magical date of 22-2-22, we moved to Portugal with our camper and Toyota Land Cruiser. To ease the transition from our comfortable houseboat to a new life, we rented a beautiful house with a mountain view and a large swimming pool. By May 2022, we had found and purchased our own land, Quinta Luz da Lua (“The Light of the Moon”). Fedde, Doutzen, and Tijn fell in love with the land immediately. For Suzan, it took some time, but we knew it was the right place and bought it without hesitation.

Since November 2022, we’ve been living at our quinta, rebuilding everything step by step. You can follow our progress on Instagram, where we share updates on our journey. Already, we’re welcoming clients to Portugal to experience transformation in their Soul’s Life Script. By mid-2025, we plan to have three houses completed on the property and will begin building our family home.
